Digger and Friends:
Earth Day
In his secont book, Digger and Friends – Earth Day, the author has Digger and his friends work in town to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning, building a playground and planting trees. The reader will experience recycling and community service as ther enjoy the delightful artwork on each page.
The author owns Digger and each of the friends in the book. He uses them when building on and cleaning up his property. Visiting grandchildren and visitors enjoy climbing on, and with supervision, operating the digging and grading machines. The smiles on their faces are priceless. It is a rare opportunity to actually operate a a smaller, almost child size, piece of equipment that operates just like the big ones. This book is an attempt to bring that joy and instill community service to the young reader.
